Beetle, a 10-week-old, male kitten was placed in the life-saving Help Me Heal Program. Beetle had allegedly been thrown from a car window and suffered severe injuries. At only one and a half pounds, Beetle has already had one surgery, and he is likely to need another in the future.

Posted July 28,201Dusty Deserves a Good Life

Dusty, an 8 month old lab/shepherd mix, was found roaming the streets looking for food and he was brought to the shelter. A sweet, shy and curious puppy who was too skinny and he had, what appeared to be, a slight case of mange. We rescued him from the shelter and brought him straight to the vet. This good-natured puppy has a condition called “Megaesophagus” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megaesophagus as well as some skin issues that he is being treated for. Despite obvious past neglect and numerous health conditions, Dusty is a loving, happy dog who loves to play with other dogs! He currently weighs about 40 pounds and once he is full grown and has put on some weight he will be about 50-55 pounds. Dusty needs a special someone to take him under their wing and love him and care for him….
